BACHELOR PROGRAM IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
1. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Name of the qualification and title conferred: Bachelor of Arts
Specialization: International Relations
Goal: The Program provides an extensive training in Russian Studies through a broad range of courses, both in English and Russian languages. The Program is designed for international students who take interest in Russian history and culture, domestic and foreign politics, governance and law, economics and business. The program will be especially useful for those who love Russian and want to learn this language well. Some command of Russian is recommended for applicants but not required..
PFUR DIFFERENCE:
Level of Qualification: Bachelor degree is a first stage degree of a two-stage higher vocational education of a university level. It corresponds to the level 5A of the International Standart Classification of Education (ISCED).
Entrance examinations; good level of English.
Program requirements: Studies are done in accordance with the individual plan under supervision of the scientific advisor who should have a scientific degree and (or) title. The Bachelor program presupposes active individual work of the student. Progress is checked during periodical attestations. Bachelor’s thesis is an independent research paper made under the guidance of scientific advisor (with possible involvement of one or two consultants). The thesis is defended and final exams are taken publicly at the sitting of the State Attestation Commission.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
Duration: 48 months (Program begins: September); Mode: Full - time. (4 years - 208 weeks including vacations during full-time of learning, 28 weeks – research internship).
